For more than a century, The Trustees has been working to protect nature, providing care of our reservations, building creative programs to engage people, and sharing expertise with neighbors and partners across the state.
Founded in 1896 by two Boston women with a vision for protecting nature and wildlife in Massachusetts, Mass Audubon protects close to 40,000 acres of land throughout the state. They welcome more than a half million visitors a year to their wildlife sanctuaries and 20 nature centers. Properties include hilltop views, beautiful coastal landscapes, peaceful woods, and working farms. Mass Audubon protects our state’s natural treasures.
